Our Process

At Nova Design Build, we believe every home should reflect its owner’s personality. We also believe that our customers should be involved every step of the way, from the initial design consultation to the final touches on their project.

Our Four Step Process

Schedule Consultation

During the initial consultation, our team will plan a visit to your site. This is where you express your vision to us as we work together to start shaping the big picture.

Design and Materials

The design phase is one of the most crucial parts of our process. During this phase you will meet with our designer and start to see your ideas become a reality.

Construction

Once we have finalized all your layouts and materials from the design phase, the construction phase will begin. This is the fun part where we update you daily on what to expect for the upcoming days until your project is completed.

Finalize and Warranty

At this point, we can make any final adjustments to your project before it goes into warranty mode so that everything is perfect. We offer a one year warranty on our workmanship and materials.

Project Timeline

The following indicates the average timeframes you can expect for a remodeling project in your home. These timeframes can vary greatly depending on the size and scope of your project, as well as many other key components that can play into them. During the course of these stages, there are also several integral workings going on “behind the scenes”, such as pulling permits, getting variances when needed, and ordering the materials for your project. We do our best to create a structure and process that allows you to still live life in your home – in the middle of a remodeling disruption.

Kitchen and bath completed in advance of promise date and look great. Nova does what they when they say. No wondering when the electrician or plumber is going to show up. Excellent craftsmanship and communication. Will use again.

Nova was the first company we called to inquire about adding an addition to our living room/kitchen area after hearing about them from a neighbor and wanting to try someone different than who we used on a previous project. Tate came out that day and talked us through his thoughts and ideas. We were blown away by his honesty and professionalism.We have worked with many high end and very well known contractors around Columbus on previous projects, but Nova was by far the best we’ve dealt with. I will only be using them for all my home projects moving forward.I would consider myself a difficult customer but Tate and Dimitri were so patient and understanding. The team communicated with me every step of the project.I can’t think of one thing I would change about my results because they really took the time to brainstorm and give recommendations on thing I wouldn’t have thought of originally.

I had a shower leak and had multiple remodelers and shower professionals take a look and submit estimates. The proposed fixes were all very expensive , requiring a full shower teardown. Tate was the only one who actually figured out the problem which did not require extensive work. He is very knowledgeable and honest, easy to communicate with, and reliable. I would highly recommend anyone to him.

Nova Design recently remodeled our basement. They did great! It was a much better experience than what we had with other contractors that worked on our house in the past. They built a new bedroom with a fireplace and a walk-in closet and an office. We are impressed by the quality of the work. The entire construction team was very respectful, detail oriented, and they kept us informed about the progress. Their pricing was very reasonable and they worked with us to accommodate our budget. The remodel was completed on schedule. We very much appreciate their work.

I recently had my kitchen remodeled here in Grove City by Nova Design Build. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and experience. From the beginning they were extremely professional and easy to work with. They had some great ideas that totally elevated the design, transforming my small, crammed kitchen into a much larger, highly functional one. The team did an amazing job with the whole remodel. They worked efficiently and made sure everything was perfect. Plus, they were really respectful of my space and cleaned up after themselves every day. Now that the remodel is done, I couldn't be happier with how my kitchen looks. It's like a whole new space! If you're thinking about remodeling your home, definitely go with them!

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found NOVA to complete our remodel. From start to finish these folks were top notch. We did a full first floor remodel, which included relocating a kitchen. The work was well done, on schedule, and on budget. They worked hand in hand with us through all decision making, answered all the questions we threw at them, consistently kept the work site clean and cared for, and went out of their way to ensure we loved every aspect of this project...And we do. Hired Nova to redo kitchen, staircase, and downstairs flooring/trim. The owners, Dimitry and Tate (maybe short for Tater or Tater Tot?, possibly Scandinavian, definitely Nordic) came out to give me quote. Tate was souper (tomato bisque) responsive and helpful. Subs (Italian, add spicy pepps) were also souper (more of a beef stew) friendly as well. Don't even trip on this one, yo. If you're considering getting the work done, just pull the trigger. Can't say enough good things about these guys. Work done on time, cleaned up well, open/transparent communcation, etc etc.
